Coach Development
I collaborate with coaches who are looking to make a meaningful improvement to their coaching. Rather than teaching a generalised curriculum, I specialise in catering my work to each individual coach with their own specific objectives, players and ways of working. Some of the topics I advise on are:
One of the worst feelings as a golf coach is that feeling that what you are saying and doing just isn’t quite right, and neither you or the player are getting out of the process as much as you could.
However, as coaches we are often just left to our own devices with no real feedback from others nor insights as to what we could possibly improve.
I specialise in providing expert feedback and awareness around how to have more success with your players at your facility, and how to have this happen more often.
In an industry with so much information around technique, it is often hard to know quite which way to turn.
I’ll take a look at some of your player’s swings or of those that interest you, clarify what you’re seeing and simplify the technical picture on the lesson tee.
There are common threads that run through all top coaching, but often get lost in the clutter.
I work with coaches to explore what these are and how they can act as a North Star to help keep them on the right track and to quieten the noise around them.
Stuck in the shop. Working with players who you don’t suit/don’t suit you. Too many other tasks besides coaching. Feeling like you’re not progressing. Not earning enough.
I’ve been there. As much as people tell you to “be patient”, the life of a golf coach is really hard sometimes. I’ll provide fresh perspectives and new ideas around what you can do in your coaching to help change your situation.
